Forklift Transmission - A transmission or gearbox makes use of gear ratios to be able to supply speed and torque conversions from one rotating power source to another. The kind of gearbox used in a wind turbine is much more complicated and bigger compared to the PTO gearboxes found in farm machinery. These gearboxes convert the slow, high torque rotation of the turbine into the faster rotation of the electrical generator.
